 Description:

We are delighted to offer this Silver and Enamel Dog Cigarette Case.
The Cigarette Case of slim rectangular form with rounded corners is beautifully finished to the exterior with an enamel Russian Hunting Sighthound dog wearing a brown collar.

The inside of the Silver case is stamped 800 for the purity of silver 800/1000.
The Silver and Enamel Dog Cigarette Case dates to the turn of the 20th century and the late Art Nouveau period around 1910.

The Borzoi or Russian Hunting Sighthound is a Russian breed of hunting dog of sighthound type. It was formerly used for wolf hunting; until 1936, the breed was known as the Russian Wolfhound.

Very good condition, small marks according with its age. The silver gilt inside is a little faded. The box closure is perfect.
